The Lead Out Method

Lead out what a student already carries.

Educere — to lead out. The Lead Out Method builds Column 1 first — wellness, hope, passion, perseverance — so Column 2, the learning, becomes possible.

One educator, two jobs.

Column 1

Educating

Wellness, hope, passion, perseverance — what a student needs inside to succeed.

Column 2

Learning

Reading, writing, math, science, critical thinking — made possible once Column 1 is in place.

How it works

Four steps, in every lesson

The Lead Out Method is practical. In each lesson, an educator:

  1. Builds safety and wellness, so a student can be present and open.
  2. Sparks hope and purpose, so the work feels worth doing.
  3. Exercises autonomy and passion, so motivation comes from inside.
  4. Then leads the learning — reading, writing, math — onto ready ground.

Solving the Right Problem works.

Eva Fugitt and Marva Collins proved it in real public-school classrooms.
